Jesus is the chief intercessor. The Bible says He always makes intercession to the Father. And we too, are admonished to pray without ceasing in everything giving thanks to our Father. This is the foundation of our vision at VCF Albany. We believe that everyone can communicate to the Living God through prayer.
Prayer takes many forms. Sometimes it’s listening or quiet and sometimes it is shouting. Sometimes it is crying and sometimes it involves laughing. Sometimes it is in the form of soaking. Prayer involves action; pressing forward to the higher callings of the kingdom. We believe there are many valid expressions of prayer, however we also do not let the enemy dictate to us our strategy. We do not yell at devils. We join with the Living God in declaring the truth of the ever increasing revelation of the Living Word. We live in the revelation that "it is finished", fully believing that Jesus accomplished it all for us on the cross and we are seated in heavenly places with Him. Therefore, we can join with Him when He says, "let there be light".
We currently have weekly prayer meetings on Monday nights and Wednesday nights with the exception of the 1st Wednesday of the month. We are also open to new meetings starting up.
