Worship is one of the highest priorities of VCF Albany. We desire Spirit-enabled worship in a style that is intimate, dynamic, culturally current and life changing. As a movement, the Vineyard has been known for its anointed songs and the quality of its worship teams. We here, at VCF Albany, are striving to walk in this anointing with grace. Since the corporate worship team is a highly visible, church-wide ministry, more accountability and in this instance, more ability is required. To be a member, the following values are essential: Worship - We are interested in people who truly love to worship their God. We want to see all striving and jealousy fall by the wayside as the team grows closer to the Lord. Values - We want people who are in tune with the vision and goals of this local community of faith. We believe in the equipping of the saints to minister and are in the business of imparting and mentoring. Commitment - We rehearse on a regular basis and meet early for corporate worship times to prepare and pray. Being punctual and available is a must. Character - Experience has proven that gifting without good character is a recipe for failure. To be a part of the worship team, a person must live a transparent and honest life of integrity. Ability - We are seeking to attain a high quality level of sound yet stay in the anointing of God. Technical skills combined with good practice habits are a necessity to develop what God has given. As senior leaders, both Dave and Teresa are committed to mentoring the next generation of worship leaders while breaking new ground in the area of spontaneous, intercessory worship.
