Taking healing to the community
The Healing Rooms of Albany, located at 633 Waverly St. SE next to Dairy Queen, is open Friday nights, except holiday weekends, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. It was founded in February, 2003 and is made up of trained ministry team members from several Christian Churches in the Willamette Valley. They are united in the belief that the healing power of Jesus Christ is available today to heal diseases of the spirit, soul, and body. The ministry teams will pray privately for anyone that needs prayer in an atmosphere of love, compassion, and faith. God’s Heart
God’s Heart is a nonprofit corporation focused on ministering to the poor in Albany and surrounding areas through “The Picnic” which provides free meals to those in need, and “God’s Closet”, a monthly clothing giveaway. Other, occasional activities include baby showers, helping people with relocation, and providing rides for people to important appointments. Ivan and Erica Roman are the founders of A Friend of God Ministries. God has commissioned Ivan and Erica to impart a fresh revelation of what it means to be sons and friends with God to the body of Christ. They accomplish this through conferences and other training environments. Ivan is on staff with Training for Reigning at the Vineyard Fellowship of Albany and hosts regional youth gatherings called Jesus Revolution. Ministry to orphans of Uganda
Show Mercy International is a nonprofit organization founded by Mike and Lori Salley. Their focus is demonstrating God’s love in both word and action by providing loving homes, food, education, clothing and medical care to many orphaned and abandoned children living primarily in Uganda, Africa. Show Mercy provides opportunities for others who have the same values and desires to express them through both short and long term missions opportunities to Africa.
